Lyte Academy Basketball CLub

WE ARE A COMPETITIVE TRAVEL TEAM THAT FOCUS ON DEVELOPMENT AND LEARNING TEAM PLAY.  WE TEACH FUNDAMENTALS, FOOTWORK, AGILITY, AND BALL HANDLING WITH INTENSE WORKOUTS FOR DEVELOPMENT. 

MEET THE COACH

MY NAME IS WILLIAM MCFARLAN, I'M A RETIRED PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL PLAYER WITH 15 YEARS OF INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE.  I'VE PLAYED IN NUMEROUS COUNTRIES THROUGH OUT EUROPE AND FINISHED OFF MY LAST FEW YEARS IN ARGENTINA.  I ALSO GREW UP PLAYING NYC STREET BALL AND WAS A LOCAL NIKE SPONSORED ATHLETE. AFTER RETIRING I FOCUSED ON TEACHING BASKETBALL AND COACHING YOUTH SPORTS.  FROM NIKE EYBL, NIKE NYVSNY, CITY IS MINE, MADE HOOPS, AND JORDAN BRAND QUAI54.  I'VE BEEN COACHING AND DEVELOPING ON ALL LEVELS ALL OVER THE WORLD.  I'M CO-OWNER OF LEVALLOIS METROPOLITAN BASKETBALL CLUB IN PARIS FANCE, ALSO CO-FOUNDER OF A PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL TEAM THE CAPE TOWN TIGERS BASED OUT OF SOUTH AFRICA.  THE TEAM PARTICIPATES IN THE BAL BASKETBALL AFRICA LEAGUE SPONSORED BY THE NBA. LYTE ACADEMY IS A PROGRAM I STARTED IN NYC AND NOW LOCATED IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

Winter 25/26 Winter Season Preview

Join the winning team with LYTE ACADEMY BASKETBALL CLUB

When teams are selected it will be run academy style. All age groups will play tournaments in the California area.  6th and 7th grade will have have an Elite team to compete in MADE HOOPS, and other national ranked tournaments. Players who are not initially selected for the Elite teams will have opportunity to play on the Elite squad if they are consistent with practice and display the level of play needed to compete at that level.

Retired professional basketball player with over 15 years of experience.  I train players from all levels starting at age 8. to pro level players.  I have trained players from all over the world , I have worked with coaches from the High School to the NBA, and know whats needed for development and what coaches look for in players.

We don't only focus on basketball skills and fundamentals, we also work on agility, conditioning, and basketball iIQ along with Basketball skills and fundamentals needed on the court.. I structure my training according to your position and body type.to help you to create and enhance your style of play.
